by Matilda on 11.14.08 at 11:50 PM See more in Life •As is our tradition, Avery and I went to “A Day in the Life of an Elf at Macy’s Santaland”. Avery had a nice chat with Santa and her picture taken. We did a bit of shopping, she found a purple velvet dress she liked.

by Matilda on 11.12.08 at 07:44 AM See more in Life •My Dell Precision M4400 was locked up this morning. It wasn’t connected to the network or my Verizon XV6800. Next theory?

by Matilda on 11.11.08 at 10:52 AM See more in Life •I’m beginning to think the lock up issue with my Dell Precision M4400 may actually have something to do with my Verizon XV6800.

by Matilda on 11.10.08 at 12:44 PM See more in Life •Woodway Treadmill: 51 minutes, 3.0 miles, 3.5 mph, HR=125. Stamina L3 was too fast and too flat. My Dell Precision M4400 keeps locking up. The only resolution is to force a restart by holding the power button. I believe it’s a conflict between the Symantec Corporate Client that Rent-A-Geek installed on Thursday and Windows Defender. It worked fine at home all weekend when I was not attached to the network.

by Matilda on 11.06.08 at 06:35 AM See more in Life •Hanna and I went to bed early last night. Steve allowed Winnie full roam of the house, rather than confine her to the bedroom. I have no idea where she slept, or if she slept. All I know is I did!
2008-11-05 Wednesday
by Matilda on 11.05.08 at 11:50 PM See more in Life •Winnie was up all night. At two something I vowed if she was still bothering me at three I would put her in her crate, in my car, in the garage. It didn’t come to that. I noticed 21 missed calls while I was getting my hair cut. Someone opened the front door, set off the alarm and closed the door four minutes later. The Policeman was waiting on my front door step, they don’t enter a home if there’s a dog inside unless something looks amiss. Turns out the SaltGuy opened the door we forgot to lock when my Mom left last night. He was going to do me a favor and put the salt down by the water softener rather than leave it on the doorstep.

by Matilda on 11.04.08 at 12:53 PM See more in Life •I voted! It took all of ten minutes. Yay! My Mom & Dad’s dog is staying with us while she goes on a cruise. It’s a little dog. I’m not fond of little dogs. Enough said.

by Matilda on 11.03.08 at 11:54 AM See more in Life •TechnoGym Wave: 54 minutes, 8 miles, 8.8 mph, HR=138. The BigGuys at the John Deere store insisted the 48” Aerator would NOT fit into the back of my car. Right up until they had the darn thing in there. WTF?!?! To their credit, they did humor me in the trying. Thanks to Suzi, I have just committed to two 5k races this month.

by Matilda on 10.31.08 at 09:50 AM See more in Life •We scattered Coco’s ashes in the woods last night. I got some on my shoes. I can’t decide if that’s creepy or funny.

by Matilda on 10.29.08 at 07:54 AM See more in Quotes •“I endeavor . . . to be wise when I cannot be merry, easy when I cannot be glad, content with what cannot be mended, and patient when there is no redress.” Elizabeth Montagu; Writer, Editor,Publisher, and Psychologist.
Here’s A Thought
by Matilda on 10.29.08 at 07:51 AM See more in Quotes •“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” Melody Beattie, Author.
